Jen Murtagh has a smile that will light up a room. Instantly when you meet her, she exudes good human vibes. She is warm and genuine. Despite being the CEO of one of BC’s largest female-focused not-for-profits, Minerva, she has the unique ability to make you feel like you have known each other for ages — even if that is not the case.
A firm believer in the law of reciprocity, Jen is passionate about giving back and meeting new and like-minded people. Over her years of networking, Jen has built what she refers to as a solid female powerhouse contingent, and credits many of them as the reason behind her success.
In today’s interview, I sit down with Jen at the Minerva HQ to find out how she built a powerful contingent of women via networking, and why it is important for us as women to advocate for ourselves and lift each other as we rise.
