Let’s be honest. It’s easy to give advice all the time to everyone on failing when IT’S NOT YOU! In the startup game, you often hear “Fail fast” or “Fail often”, but the reality is failing sucks. We all know if you had the option to NOT fail, you would probably take it (and learn from someone else’s failures, BUT for some reason I never ever do that).
BUT, here is the thing with not failing. Sometimes
that equates to holding back, not trying hard enough or worst of all not trying at all. So you try and your risk is failure. You pray practice and do the best you can, hoping that all your hard work, sacrifice, tears, many, many moments of frustration and wanting to quit pay off and prove to be worthwhile.
Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don’t.
Today on the show I sit down with serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Codemakers Nikki Durkin as she shares how it feels to fail in the startup game.
