When anyone turns their idea into a legitimate business that actually makes money consistently, it’s inspiring. But when it’s one of your best girlfriends and colleagues, it’s extra special. And that is why I am super excited for today’s interview with one of my favourite people and girlfriends, Sandra Zovko. Sandra is the founder of the gorgeous knitwear line MILA ZOVKO, named after her late mother, whose original knit sweaters were the inspiration for the collection.
After over two years of working evenings and weekends (in addition to working full-time, buying a house and having a baby) Sandra launched MILA ZOVKO this past Fall. Her sweaters are so gorgeous, they have been featured in Flare magazine, Elle magazine, VITA Daily and on Breakfast Television to name a few, and can be found in stores in Vancouver and New York, with more locations to come in the Spring!
In today’s interview, I sit down with Sandra at her home in Vancouver to chat all about launching MILA ZOVKO, not giving up and what she has learned working for herself.
