In Vancouver and throughout much of BC, Jill Earthy has garnered a much-deserved reputation as a huge champion and resource for female entrepreneurs and senior leaders. As a two-time entrepreneur, she knows first-hand the multitude of challenges one can face starting a company. She has spent most of her career helping women in some capacity or another, with navigating the waters of both entrepreneurship and senior leadership. In addition to being the chief growth officer at FrontFundr, she is also the co-chair and co-founder of the WEB Alliance, vice-chair, board of directors of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of BCand a Mentor for Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) BC.
I know you are probably asking yourself, is there anything this woman doesn’t do? Yes, there is! Apparently she doesn’t do the kids’ soccer carpool, and that is a-OK by us: we all know you can’t do everything.
Her latest passion has to do with the world of online equity investing. Her company FrontFundr makes it easy for anyone (basically you and I) to invest in a wide variety of small private Canadian companies, making investing easier and more accessible than ever before.
On today’s episode I chat with Jill about her entrepreneurial endeavors and her passion for having more women at the board table and on the cap table (a.k.a. capitalization table.)
