I am amazed at how determined and tenacious this generation of millennials is. The number of young women starting their own businesses with big visions is a constant source of inspiration as I navigate my own entrepreneurial path. Today’s She Built That guest is yet another one of those young women of whom I am in awe.
At 31, Annalea Krebs is on her second venture. Yes, business number two. She founded her first business — essentially the ‘Groupon’ for natural and eco-friendly products — ethicalDeal, in 2010. She then sold it in 2015 to focus on her second business, Social Nature: a community marketplace for individuals wanting to access the latest natural and eco-friendly products. The best part is, you get them for free. Say what?
Created out of a desire to give her ethicalDeal community access to everyday natural products, Annalea founded Social Nature. Using the power of influencer marketing, Social Nature members can try an array of natural items for free, in exchange for a product review.
I had the opportunity to sit down with Annalea in her new office digs in Downtown Vancouver to chat all things business and life, and why she believes in the motto “No means maybe and maybe means yes.”
